Liguria is a geographical region where some of the most intense and short-lasting rainfall events observed in all of Western Europe occur.
Moreover, this complex morphology of the region also intervenes in terms of weather-climate processes, making Liguria a region vulnerable to climate change and the impacts it brings.
The constant study and research of changes in the different climatic parameters help us to monitor the impacts of climate change on transport infrastructures, and to analyse the consequences on their efficiency and the maintenance choices related to them.
