Climate Report Piedmont Region
The Piedmont region has a very diverse geography and a large number of activities, lifestyles and organisations, making it a region of great complexity.
This complexity is also reflected in the climatic field; a careful and correct analysis of climate variability, vulnerability and impacts caused by climate change is therefore essential.
The geomorphology of the region is a factor that influences climate variations to a certain extent: approximately 43% of the region’s territory is mountainous and the Alps act as a hot-spot of change, i.e. an area where the effects of climate change are most evident.
