Friuli Venezia Giulia Climate Report
Evidence of how the climate is changing on a large scale is reflected in this climate report for the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, which shows that temperature increases in this region are becoming increasingly significant, along with increasing variations in precipitation patterns.
Climate change is expected to have a strong impact on biodiversity, altering the phenology, genetic composition and ranges of species. It also alters their biotic interactions and ecosystem processes. It is estimated that current global changes have compromised up to 60 per cent of our planet’s ecosystem services.
