Report Regione Sardegna
The climate of the region of Sardinia is typically Mediterranean, i.e., temperatures have a maximum in summer and a minimum in winter, while rainfall follows an exactly opposite pattern, concentrated in two maximum periods in late autumn and spring, separated by a moderately rainy period.
The Mediterranean is considered one of the most vulnerable areas, classified as a hot spot by the IPCC, to climate change, as it lies on the boundary between the sub-tropics and mid-latitudes; therefore, any change in these boundaries has a disproportionate effect on the area.
